Our goal at Gerstenzang, O'Hern, Hickey, Sills & Gerstenzang is to deliver the highest possible quality legal services to each of our clients. We use our experience, knowledge, education, creativity and technology to provide our clients with an effective and efficient defense.

We communicate with our clients, listen to their questions, concerns and ideas and keep them informed of all developments in their cases. We strive to provide a determined, organized team effort in analyzing, preparing and executing the defense of our clients.

Our primary focus is on the representation of persons who have been charged with a criminal offense -- whether a felony, misdemeanor or traffic infraction. The vast majority of our clients have been charged with DWI. We are proud of the reputation that we have earned throughout New York State in this area of the law. We practice in County, City, Town and Village courts -- and practice at both the trial and appellate levels. We are also experienced in personal injury, matrimonial and family law matters.

Each of us has worked hard to establish and maintain an excellent professional reputation among clients, other attorneys and members of the judiciary. We are supported by a professional and experienced office staff. We continually enhance our own legal scholarship by attending and participating in criminal law forums, seminars and conferences. In addition, our attorneys are regularly asked to speak at professional seminars on topics of interest to the members of the criminal justice community. Although promises and guarantees of a specific outcome can never be made, our clients can be assured that we will strive to obtain the best possible result for them.

Karen Gerstenzang is a partner in the law firm of Gerstenzang, O'Hern, Hickey, Sills & Gerstenzang. Ms. Gerstenzang graduated from Albany Law School in 1980.
